The Agency of Material Reserves, Public Acquisition and Humanitarian Aid thanked people who offered material humanitarian aid to the victims of the 2008 summer floods
The Moldovan  Agency of Material Reserves, Public Acquisition and Humanitarian Aid (ARMAPAU)  thanked people who offered material humanitarian aid to the victims of the 2008 summer floods. At the same time, ARMAPAU today suspended the collection of humanitarian aid from private people.

Moldovan Prime Minister Zinaida Grecianii is officially on leave from Tuesday, 12 August 2008. The prime minister will be back in office on 22 August.

The situation emerged in the wake of the recent floods was considered at the meeting with Prime Minister Zinaida Grecianii and Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu
Attending the meeting, First Deputy Premier, Economics and Trade Minister Igor Dodon said that the water level is dropping in most of the sectors of the Prut and Dniestre rivers.

Premier on visit to southern Moldova districts
Prime Minister Zinaida Grecianii on 7 August visited settlements situated in the Dniestre and Prut river meadows from Moldova's southern districts. Zinaida Grecianii visited the villages of Talmaza, Rascaieti, Purcari and Crocmaz, and took knowledge of the course of construction of the Giurgiulesti port. During meetings with local public authorities, the premier gave assurances that the flood victims will not remain without the authorities' attention.
